Numerous drivers, safety personnel and members of management from various trucking companies founded our organization in 2001. MAPTDA was formed to promote the professionalism and safety of commercial truck drivers, while improving driving skills, encouraging friendly relations among drivers and promoting good will toward the trucking industry. Our truck driving competition, which benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation, involves a course of ten (10) skills tests and an optional pre-trip inspection. Drivers from across the country come to compete for prizes and awards. The 10th Annual Charity "FunDrive" will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Lee Hi Travel Plaza in Lexington, Virginia. Entry forms and other related forms are posted here on the website. We will have early sign-in on Friday, August 27th and and early on Saturday morning the 28th at the Lee Hi Travel Plaza. Registrations will not be accepted after 10 AM on the 28th. We encourage all participants to pre-register if at all possible so that we may get an accurate count for the meal on Saturday evening. Send Registrations to: MAPTDA P.O. Box 501 Fishersville, VA 22939. Pre-Registering allows us time to get an accurate count of those participating, have each participant and sponsor listed in the program and to have an accurate count of attendance for the evening meal on Saturday. Corporate and individual sponsorship and driver contributions have made it possible for MAPTDA to donate in excess of $185,233.47 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation over the last six years. Last year we had over 133 drivers competing at this event from as far away as Texas, Florida and Wisconsin. Thank you for your time and support.
